1. Determine the type of blank

Gear, its material is 40 steel, and the diameter of the outer circle is not big, small outer circle is short, optional round steel cutting. Gear, because of its outer circle and hole diameter are large, single piece can choose the corresponding thickness of steel plate air cutting material, batch large can choose forgings, forging into circular blank, so as to save materials, and reduce processing hours, forging blank mechanical performance is also better.

2. Determine the processing sequence of parts

The processing sequence should be determined according to the technical requirements of blank type, structure, size, machining accuracy, surface roughness and heat treatment.

3. Determine the processing procedure

Determine the machine tool, workpiece clamping method, processing method, processing size and detection method used in each process, including the plus allowance left for the next process. General small and medium-sized parts outside, inside the cylinder and plane refers to the unilateral margin, in a single piece of small batch production, blank size of large fire value, on the contrary, take a small value.

4. Determine the cutting amount and time quota used

The cutting quantity of single piece and small batch production is generally selected by the producer and the working hour quota is set by the manager.
